IHFS Scorecard
The Office of American Indian and Alaska Native Health & Family Services (IHFS) strives to be a well respected public health and human services agency within DHHS for all federally recognized tribes of Utah and tribal organizations. We will strive to be strong advocates for equitable access to public health and family services programs and resources to include Medicaid, CHIP, and the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) at all levels. We will strive to collect and store health-specific data related to AI/AN outcomes and become a model and resource to internal and external stakeholders. We will uphold and respect formal consultation processes, policies and procedures. The IHFS mission is to improve overall health outcomes for AI/AN living on and off reservations in Utah, and to improve access to public health and family resources for Tribal governments and the Urban Indian Organization (UIO), and to promote effective formal communication between federal, state, and tribal governments.
