Measles in Utah residents – August 6, 2025

As of August 5, 2025, Number of Utah residents who have been diagnosed with measles in 2025: 11. 

No new cases since July 21.

We report the local health district of residency in which people have been confirmed to have measles.

  • 7 people are residents of the Utah County Health District
  • 4 people are residents of the Southwest Utah Public Health District

All of these people are unvaccinated.

The following dates are when people with measles were reported to public health.

  • July 21: 1 person in the Southwest Utah Public Health District (no community exposures identified by the local health district)
  • July 14: 1 person in the Southwest Utah Public Health District
  • July 1: 2 people in the Utah County Health District
  • June 27: 2 people in the Utah County Health District
  • June 26: 5 people—3 in the Utah County Health District, 2 in the Southwest Utah Public Health District

DHHS has been notified of 2 exposure locations by an out-of-state traveler who was driving through Utah. If you were at either of these locations during the times listed, watch for measles-like symptoms and use the link in the table below to fill out a survey for information and next steps. The survey is available in both English and Spanish.
