UDOH to host public hearings on proposed Medicaid changes

What:  The Utah Department of Health (UDOH) is seeking public comment on a proposal to extend Medicaid coverage to up to 90,000 low-income Utah adults. The proposal calls for extending Medicaid coverage to Utah adults who earn up to 100 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, or $12,140 per year.
The Department is also seeking comment on three other proposed changes to the Medicaid program, including Medicaid dental benefits, family planning service amendments, and authority to provide specific services to at-risk Medicaid children and youth.

The UDOH will host two public hearings to solicit feedback from the community. The public comment period will remain open through May 31, 2018. Comments will also be accepted online and via mail.
