More than 1 million Utahns have received at least one dose of vaccine

(Salt Lake City) – The state of Utah is encouraged to note that 1,013,308 Utahns have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. That amounts to approximately 44% of Utah’s eligible population.

“This is a milestone worth celebrating and we hope this number will continue to rise as more and more Utahns choose to become vaccinated,” said Utah Governor Spencer Cox. “The speed in which we’ve been able to vaccinate Utahns is a testament to the hard work and dedication by Utah’s public health system and our statewide vaccination partners,” he added.

All Utahns ages 16 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine in Utah. (Those who are 16 and 17 only qualify for the Pfizer vaccination.) Appointments are still filling up quickly and if you haven’t been able to get a vaccine yet, please be patient as you try to schedule an appointment. The state is receiving more vaccines every week and public health officials are optimistic every Utahn who wants to get a vaccine will soon be able to get one.
